LULAC Kicks off Latinos Living Healthy: Feria de Salud in Puerto Rico

(PRWEB) April 24, 2015 -- This year, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), will kick off its health fair series entitled, Latinos Living Healthy: Feria de Salud in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The health fair is focused on ensuring that the Latino community has access to healthy food options, and understands the importance of physical activity. The health fairs are free and open to the public. As part of the health fair, Tyson Foods, Walmart and LULAC have joined forces to donate a truckload of protein to area food banks in Puerto Rico. What: Tyson Foods, Walmart and LULAC have partnered to donate more than 35,000 pounds of protein to area food banks in Puerto Rico. Tyson Foods has donated more than 100 million pounds of protein to food banks since 2000.
