Lumos Learning Expands StepUp Program to Support Realistic Standardized Test Practice in Ten More States
Piscataway, NJ (PRWEB) December 08, 2016 -- Lumos Learning, a New Jersey-based company, focused on developing innovative learning platforms, announced today the expansion of its StepUp® program. The highly successful program supports student practice for the ACT Aspire, Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP), Missouri Assessment Program (MO MAP), Mississippi Assessment Program (MS MAP), Georgia Milestones Assessment Program (GMAS), Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress (iSTEP), Ohio State Tests (OST), Tennessee Ready Assessment (TNReady), and Florida Standards Assessment (FSA).
The Lumos StepUp® program is designed to provide a comprehensive review of standards, rigorous test practice, and skills mastery as required by the state learning standards. These programs have been tailor-made for the standardized state assessments of each state. The StepUp® platform is inspired by Teacher Intelligence™ and puts the right technology and learning resources in the hands of educators and students.
Commenting on the launch, Mukunda Krishnaswamy, CTO and Founder of Lumos Learning, said, “Lumos Learning's PARCC and SBAC programs have had enormous success in driving student achievements with one school reporting 88% improvement in student proficiency rank. Currently over 75000 students, 7000 teachers, and 1300 schools actively use the platform. Positive feedback from customers motivated us to offer the rigorous item bank and collaborative learning platform to help students in additional states.”
After subscribing to the Lumos Program, Ms. Kathleen Hampton, Instructional Coach at K-12 New Madrid County R-1 School District in Missouri, stated, “There are many good products on the market, but, Lumos Learning offers one of the best. The materials looked to be exactly the thing needed, but facing severe budgets cuts, there was little hope of having the program beyond the free pilot. Jeremy Brunton and team came up with a proposal that not only met needs but was affordable.”

Lumos Learning will continue to enhance its StepUp® platform to meet the needs of teachers and curriculum leaders. In the upcoming releases of the product, EdSearch™ technology would be integrated with the StepUp® platform to allow an educator to quickly discover and seamlessly blend own content with Lumos' rigorous item bank and Open Educational Resources (OER).
