LUXIM Announces Name Change to LUMA America
Santa Clara, California (PRWEB) May 14, 2015 -- LUXIM, the Santa Clara, California-based company acquired by the LUMA Group in 2012, has been renamed LUMA America Corporation.
The establishment of LUMA America is the final step in the integration of LUXIM into the LUMA Group. The company's Silicon Valley headquarters will direct all of LUMA's commercial activities and operations in the North, Central, and South American markets.
LUXIM, the worldwide leader in LEP (plasma) lighting, will continue to operate as a brand within LUMA and will focus on OEM clients in outdoor, horticulture and specialty lighting markets. Alongside LUXIM, LUMA has also launched Resilient (“Tough Light”), a brand focused on providing LED lighting solutions to end users in the Transport & Logistics, Industrial and Hazardous Location market segments. LUMA America will serve both brands.
The Santa Clara facility has been upgraded into a state of the art luminaire assembly site for quick turn-around and the customization needs of agents and lighting clients. “LUXIM’s integration into the LUMA Group has had a positive impact on our customers, and our new facility reinforces our commitment to the industrial and horticulture sectors,” said Mr. Tony McGettigan, CEO of LUMA Group.
Components and lighting assemblies made in the LUMA America location qualify for the ‘Made In America’ designation.
