LVIS Silent Auction Winner Receives Week at Luxury Vacation Rental Home in Costa Rica
(PRWEB) October 31, 2013 -- The Ladies’ Village Improvement Society (LVIS) is a community-based foundation dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the village of East Hampton, New York. Every year, LVIS holds a silent auction with fantastic packages to be auctioned off among the local community. The proceeds from the auction are used for the preservation and care of local parks, greens and trees, memorial plaques and trees, the local nature trail and also student scholarships.
In 2013 LVIS got a special treat—a free week at one of Costa Rica’s most elegant and beautiful private vacation rental villas: Villa de Agua. Located in Dominical, Costa Rica, Villa de Agua is a Balinese estate set in the emerald rainforests of the south-central coast, with postcard views of the Pacific ocean and just a short walk from pristine beaches. With most of its finishes custom made and imported from Bali, India and Japan, the construction cost alone for this work of art exceeds $3.5 million. The pricing for a week’s stay in this amazing villa is valued at $16,000.
The winner—who prefers to remain anonymous—has set his dates for winter of 2014—a perfect time to escape the cold of New York, and visit the warm tropics of Costa Rica.
“We’re excited to be coming to Villa de Agua!”

Costa Rica has become a ‘hot spot’ for travelers during the past decade, and Dominical is known as the ‘Gateway to the Southern Zone.’ It is truly ‘where the mountains meet the sea’: the Talamanca range cascades down to the coast, draped in vibrant green rainforest. Numerous beaches and coves line the coast, creating a veritable playground for travelers wanting to explore.
The area is also known as the ‘Whale Coast’ (Costa Ballena), for the bi-annual humpback whale migrations which pass through the area. With several reserves and local national parks, Villa de Agua is set in the middle of a nature-lover’s paradise, rife with local wildlife and spectacular flora. Monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots, iguanas, Jesus-lizards and other animals abound.
Not everyone can have the fortune of winning a free week in Costa Rica’s most elegant Balinese villa—but the fortunate can rent the villa and experience it for themselves: LosElementosCR.com.
