M57 Straight From Delancey, the Weekly Radio Show With a Live Audience From Restaurant Moscow 57, Has Been Extended By Station WVOX
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 01, 2014 -- M57 Straight From Delancey is a radio show with a live audience from Moscow 57, the Russian Central Asian restaurant with live music nightly at 168 ½ Delancey Street on the Lower East Side. The show is broadcast every Sunday night at 7:00pm from the restaurant. The show can be heard on WVOX 1460 AM (and streamed on the radio station's website, http://www.wvox.com) and as a podcast on Moscow 57's website. M57 Straight From Delancey is hosted by Moscow 57 owners Ellen Kaye and Seth Goldman, along with music director/producer/arranger Ethan Fein. The show, which features live music performances, interviews with artists and community cultural icons, began airing on August 17th and has just had its ten-week commitment extended indefinitely by the station. The M57 Band is led by Ethan Fein on guitar and banjo and features Benjamin Franklin Brown on Bass. The show is directed by Michael Susko.
Author Boris Fisherman (A Replacement Life) served as co-host of episode 1, which featured show regulars, improvisational jazz vocalist Cleve Douglass, comedian/actor Helene Gresser, vocalist Katya Lapaeva, and Ellen Kaye with Ethan Fein and The M57 Band with bassist Benjamin Franklin Brown and Rex Benincasa on the drums.
Episode 2 saw guest violinist Sandi Billingslea, vocalist and accordion duo Dmitry & Maria, improvisational jazz vocalist Cleve Douglass, comedian/actor Helene Gresser, vocalist Katya Lapaeva, and Ellen Kaye with Ethan Fein and The M57 Band with bassist Benjamin Franklin Brown and drummer Jamie Eblen.
