M. Claire Harley Announces Release of ‘Dragonfly Blessings’

In Harley’s novel about love, loss, forgiveness and family, she tells the story of a young widow who pushes aside grief and fear as she allows her curiosity to guide her to a new life in a North Carolina beach town.
Rebecca Roger’s happiness seemingly ends with her husband’s death in Afghanistan. But everything changes the day she receives a letter from a North Carolina attorney informing her that she is the sole heir to the estate of a woman she doesn’t know; a woman who claims to be her birth mother. Suddenly, everything she has believed to be true about her background is turned upside down. The letter, along with a chance encounter, redefines Rebecca’s idea of family and leads her to a life filled with love and incredible joy.

“‘It contains a letter regarding a woman by the name of Michele Dupré along with a copy of her will. Are you familiar with the packet of papers I’m referring to, sir?’
‘Yes, ma’am, I am. Michele Dupré is not only my client but also a very dear friend. Why is it that you think my office has made an error?’
‘The paperwork states that your office is to take whatever steps necessary to contact Ms. Dupré’s daughter, who by some strange coincidence has the same name as me. I am not the Rebecca Rogers you’re looking for.’”
Harley believes that in today’s busy world, it is easy to lose sight of what is truly important and she hopes that her book inspires people to look at the world differently.
