M Lhuillier Bridges Help to Typhoon Survivors
Cebu, Philippines (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- As the morning light breaks out into the sky, M Lhuillier, a non-bank financial service company, was shining by giving help to the victims of Yolanda in areas of Cebu, near Borbon, Tabogon and Bogo on November 16, 2013.
This is the company’s second stretch of providing relief to the residents of the northern part of Cebu. After the initial efforts were conducted the Sunday following the typhoon, officers were moved and decided to conduct subsequent follow-up campaigns.
According to employees who attended the relief operations, “It will take more than one or two operations to pacify the cries for help of our brothers and sisters who are trapped in the dilemma of surviving the days that would follow. Immediate relief is what the people need right now."
Truck loads of food, clothing, and water were just some of the items that were distributed to the specific communities that M Lhuillier’s Organizational Productivity Enhancement Community, the company’s corporate social responsibility arm, visited.
Apart from addressing the immediate needs of these communities, M Lhuillier is also addressing the need of loved ones who are sending funds to their friends and families that were affected by the tragedy. In spite of the devastation to the area, M Lhuillier branches that were also affected by the typhoon are coming back to life and are now pumping funds to recipients.
General Manager for the Visayas and Mindanao region, Arne Jude S. Millares, said “We are executing all possible means to allow and sustain the flow of funds from our branches to our customers waiting in our pick-up locations.” He also added that, “We are enthusiastic that through the cooperation of the community in maintaining peace and order, we are able to expedite the release of each Kwarta Padala transaction."
To help update senders please check the M Lhuillier Facebook page for daily updates on our branches.
This is just the first phase of M Lhuillier’s plans to contribute to the rebuilding of the affected regions of Cebu and as well as those of Leyte, Samar, Iloilo and the rest of the region. In addition to our relief and rebuilding efforts, it is M Lhuillier’s aim to have all affected branches operating normally as quickly as possible in order to be able to serve every distressed and recovering individual. At M Lhuillier we are reminded that giving help, even in what seems to be a small way can have a great impact.
