M-NCPPC Prince George's County Planning Department Goes Green
Upper Marlboro, MD (PRWEB) December 29, 2015 -- Effective January 4, 2016, the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) will publish all technical staff reports for Prince George’s County Planning Board cases on the Department’s web site, http://www.pgplanning.org
This new procedure reflects revised notification guidelines contained in Zoning Bill CB-97-2015, adopted by the Prince George’s County Council last month. The Bill amends requirements related to notification and the provision of staff reports for distribution by US Mail. Previously, the Planning Department was required to mail out technical staff reports no less than two weeks prior to the scheduled Planning Board hearing, as well as lists of all development applications filed each month. Publishing this information online instead will allow for more timely and easy access to the information, and is expected to result in substantial savings in paper, mailing and staffing costs.
Hard copies of the technical staff reports and monthly development application lists will continue to be available in the Planning Department’s Development Review Division, located on the 4th floor of the County Administration Building, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Copies of the documents may also be mailed for a small fee upon written request.
