M.W. Watermark Introduces the New DryMate™ Gas-Fired Continuous Sludge Dryer
Holland, Michigan (PRWEB) June 07, 2015 -- M.W. Watermark introduces the new DryMate™ Gas-Fired Continuous Sludge Dryer to generate user savings of almost 60 percent per year.
M.W Watermark is a leading supplier of water and wastewater treatment equipment, parts, and service for industrial and municipal markets throughout the world.
As such, they will be exhibiting at the 2015 NASF SUR/FIN Conference in Rosemont, IL June 8-10. This manufacturing and technology conference and trade show connects hundreds of surface finishing professionals. Parties interested in learning more about the DryMate™ are encouraged to attend.
The DryMate™ sludge dryer is designed to reduce the volume and weight of waste from metal hydroxide plating by further dehydrating filter cake that has been dewatered by a filter press.
The reduction of waste volume ranges from 2:1 to 5:1. Solids are dried up to 75 percent, leaving a granular material for disposal in a barrel, bag, or dumpster.
All exhaust air from the sludge dryer goes into a single speed, Venturi-style wet scrubber where an atomized stream of water removes any particulate matter. The DryMate™ sludge dryer features a PLC touch screen with fault alarms, a modulating gas control system and extruder, electronic ignition and external access to high-temperature bearings.
All internal wetted components are stainless steel, and an oversized extruder gearbox features an AC drive. Further savings come from its use of natural or LP gas and energy-efficient infrared heaters.
“We are very excited to announce the release of the DryMate™ Continuous Sludge Dryer,” said Michael Gethin, president of M.W. Watermark. “Our whole team is ready to assist with the sales and service of the dryer and reduce sludge disposal costs.”
The DryMate™ is available in two models. The 200-G processes up to three cubic feet of input filter cake an hour. The 380-G handles up to six cubic feet an hour. The DryMate™ serves as a direct replacement for currently installed continuous sludge dryers, with a drop-in footprint for compatibility and ease of installation.
M.W. Watermark’s engineering and service teams have many years of experience working with and servicing these types of dryers. Prior to joining the company, they worked for industry leaders like Siemens, US Filter, JWI, Lanco, Perrin, and Edward and Jones.
M.W. Watermark will also continue to offer expert aftermarket support for all other similar brands of sludge dryers.
