Macrae & Dick celebrates 50 year service award with staff presentation in Inverness
Inverness, UK (PRWEB UK) 5 February 2014 -- Kirkhill man John Ironside, aged 65, recently celebrated 50 years’ service with Macrae & Dick Ltd.
John was presented a gold quaich by Francis Hamilton, Chairman of Macrae & Dick Ltd, at a ceremony attended by John’s wife Helen, colleagues and Andrew Grzesinski, Group Managing Director. Commenting on John’s time with the company, Mr Hamilton said, ‘I am delighted that John has been with the company for 50 years and we have found him to be a very honest, hard working individual. I would like to thank him sincerely for his dedication to the company during all this time.’
John started his career on 18th September 1963, aged 15, as a Parts Boy delivering parts on a message bike. He then progressed to a coach painter and a spray painter; John currently works in the Macrae & Dick bodyshop, Hi-Tech, as a Bodyshop Paint Technician.
John said, ‘I have found Macrae & Dick to be a superb company to work for and I have worked with many great people throughout my career with them.’
John is one of 10 employees at Macrae & Dick with over 40 years’ service within the company.
