Maharishi University of Managment to Hold Third Annual Deep Green Business Symposium
Fairfield, IA (PRWEB) June 25, 2015 -- Maharishi University of Management (MUM) will be hosting the third annual Deep Green Business Symposium on June 26 and 27, 2015, from 10 am to 4 pm, on the MUM campus in the Argiro Student Center’s Dalby Hall.
The Deep Green Business Symposium is an annual global forum to share knowledge and ideas about how to make businesses and organizations more sustainable through making the planet more sustainable.
This symposium brings together researchers from academia and industry around the world to develop a new vision, and share new concepts and best practices from philosophical, technological, business, organizational and community perspectives. Speakers will ask fundamental questions on how to change the consciousness of the world towards sustainability, and also present practical case studies of how to build sustainable business practices.
"We are excited to have participation from sixteen outstanding speakers from MUM, Harvard, and other local and international organizations this year," said Dr. Anil Maheshwari, Associate Professor at MUM and coordinator of the event.
Professor Ved P. Nanda, Director of the International Legal Studies Program at the University of Denver College of Law, will speak on international law and sustainability. Professor Nanda has received numerous national and international awards, including the World Jurist Association’s Highest Order of Justice and its World Legal Scholar Award. He is also a frequent guest on television and radio.
Dr. Ram Ramanan, A Fulbright Fellow with over 40 years of global corporate (ExxonMobil), consulting (AECOM), and academic experience (IIT Stuart School of Business, Chicago), will address the symposium on the topic of ethics as the 4th bottom-line of sustainability.
Anna Bruen, an MUM faculty member in the new Sustianable Living Masters’ Program, will talk about community collaborations for energy efficiency.
