Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) December 22, 2017 -- This holiday season, MaintenX International, a Tampa-based facilities repair company, will provide repair services to businesses still recovering from the devastation left by Hurricane Maria. Since Maria made landfall in September, the road to recovery has proven to be long and difficult. MaintenX workers living in Puerto Rico have put customers’ needs ahead of their own while restoring facilities to their community.
“Despite the damages, they experienced to their own homes, our technicians in Puerto Rico were immediately accessible for our customers,” said MaintenX’s Director of National Service Mary Ann Velez. “Our technicians were offered shelter in Florida, but they have decided to stay in their communities and help with reconstruction efforts.”
MaintenX technicians have helped pharmacies and hardware stores reopen for business, providing locals with access to critical medicines and supplies for repairs. These much-needed services have been made more difficult by the damaged infrastructure and increased commute times. However, Velez notes, “Our team members in Puerto Rico are in good spirits and are working to rebuild.”
MaintenX International has provided more than 30 years of rapid disaster response to businesses across the country. MaintenX Technicians can assist companies in preparing for extreme weather by sandbagging and boarding their buildings. They can also respond to natural disasters by surveying property for damage, removing storm preparation materials, and providing emergency power.
