Maistra Debuts Resort Amarin in Rovinj, Croatia
Istria, Croatia (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- Maistra, a leading hotel chain in Croatia, recently opened Resort Amarin, a 190-apartment resort modeled on a Provencal village. The resort has achieved four-star status for its luxury apartments, new swimming pool, and on-site restaurants.
The company invested in Amarin Tourist Resort and completely renovated the property. Some units were reconstructed to maintain a rustic feel, while others were decorated in earthy tones to complement the nature that surrounds the building. Maistra also put significant work into the large outdoor pool, which reaches almost to the beach itself.
Rooms with scenic balconies are available, some of which overlook the ocean. Each room includes a safe, satellite TV, and internet connectivity.
Three restaurants and several bars are located in the resort, offering views, delicious food, and more. The Hotel Restaurant offers breakfast each morning and a dinner buffet each evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bura offers a view from its terrace, along with some of the best regional dishes, as well as Istrian wines. Pizzas are available from the Pizzeria Kandela, which can be enjoyed poolside or in the restaurant. Guests also have a wide selection of bars throughout the resort, where they can grab a coffee, dessert, or an evening cocktail that they can enjoy while taking in the breathtaking views.
Resort Amarin features access to a wide variety of recreational programs, featuring a beach volleyball court, eight tennis courts, and a basketball and soccer court, among many other offerings. Guests can also rent a kayak, boat, motor scooter, or jet ski for use while staying at the resort. For those eager to learn, Resort Amarin can connect them with a course in sailing and windsurfing, diving, or tennis.
“Start your day with aerobics, play water polo, dance zumba, then get a massage, go windsurfing, canoeing, hiking, cycling, diving, or mini golfing,” Maistra states on its website. “There is live music, a cabaret, and dancing every night as well.”
Maistra is part of the Adris Group, which is the largest tobacco company in Croatia. Adris has both a tobacco unit and a tourism unit. Headquartered in Rovinj, where Resort Amarin is located, Maistra has invested in several hotels and resorts in recent years, including Vrsar’s Petalon Tourist Resort and Belvedere Tourist Resort. In 2011, Maistra completed construction of the Lone Hotel, designed completely by Croatian artists.
The company is also investing in improvements to a pool complex used by guests at Hotel Eden and Hotel Lone, as well as a new wellness center within Hotel Eden. Investments from Maistra are also being used to make improvements to the beach in the Lone Bay area.
For more than eight years, Maistra has been strengthening the tourism business in the Rovinj and Vrsar area by investing in existing resorts and hotels and conducting massive reconstruction projects. Currently, the Maistra chain includes ten high-quality hotels, eight tourist resorts, and seven camps, totaling a capacity of approximately 34,000 guests. Maistra’s accommodations represent five percent of the tourism turnover in Croatia and 15 percent of tourism in Istria.
