Major Changes Coming to Radford University’s Corporate and Professional Communication Master’s Program
Radford, Virginia (PRWEB) March 24, 2016 -- Radford University is pleased to unveil major changes to its M.S. in Corporate and Professional Communication program. The program’s overhaul includes a new curriculum, a new facility with leading-edge technology and the arrival of a new Director for the School of Communication.
The new curriculum will incorporate interactive media and analytics into real world simulation and feature a greater focus on strategic communication. These changes will better serve graduates who enter professions such as public relations, management, sales and more.
The program will take up residence in the new College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences (CHBS) building, a facility designed to maximize educational opportunity.
“At 143,600 square feet, the new home for the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences will be the largest academic building on campus,” said CHBS Dean Katherine Hawkins. “Within the new building, there will be video editing bins, a social media and analytics lab, a crisis simulation room and a state-of-the-art television studio. The new building will also offer several collaborative learning spaces for students, top quality office space for faculty and staff and more.”
Radford University is also pleased to announce that Matthew Smith will serve as the new Director of the School of Communication. His background includes tenure as Director of Cinema Studies at Wittenberg University. He is a graduate of Ohio University with a Ph.D. in communication.
