Major Earthquake Strikes Nepal, Convoy of Hope Responds
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (PRWEB) April 25, 2015 -- International humanitarian relief organization, Convoy of Hope, has a team en route to Nepal after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake killed more than 1,400 people and caused widespread devastation.

“Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world and is not well equipped to respond to a disaster of this magnitude,” says Hal Donaldson, president and co-founder of Convoy of Hope. “Because the need is so great we are calling on all our friends to help us help those who are suffering.”
Convoy of Hope is sending teams, equipment and supplies to help those affected by the earthquake. The team will work with a network of more than 100 churches and organizations in Nepal who are ready, willing and able to assist in the response.
“It’s because of our many networks and partners that we are able to respond immediately during times of need,” says Kary Kingsland, senior vice president of Convoy of Hope.
