Making a Murderer meets Orange is the New Black
LAS VEGAS (PRWEB) February 10, 2016 -- Crime thrillers such as “Making a Murderer” have been captivating audiences across the nation. Similar to the TV show’s plot, author Raymond Blackwood's new crime thriller book, “Champagne Heights,” draws from the author’s experiences as an inmate for 20 years to give readers insight on the criminal mind. Though it is a fictional novel, “Champagne Heights” is vastly based on true events Hudson experienced first hand.
Focusing on a female protagonist, this novel digs deep into the issue of drug addiction through various avenues such as greed, love, and trust. Blackwood believes that no matter how greedful one can be, love will always prevail.
“Life can end without notice,” says Blackwood. “I’ve learned to put my trust in those I love and not judge others by their exterior. Love will challenge the most evil hearts and greed will ultimately lose.”
Through this novel, Blackwood hopes to show readers they can achieve anything they set their minds to, and how mistakes can be learning milestones.
“All people make mistakes,” says Blackwood. “Some bigger than others, some with evil intent, some with good intent. However, we can all learn from our mistakes, as well as other’s mistakes, to grow as individuals.”
