Making Life Grand Donates $23,123.94 to Children’s of Alabama and Camp Smile-A-Mile for Cancer Research
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) August 06, 2015 -- This morning Ain’t Life Grand Investments, Making Life Grand, and Project Team Taylor met representatives of Children’s of Alabama and Camp Smile-A-Mile at the newest location of Glory Bound Gyro Co. in downtown Birmingham, AL to present the check from the inaugural Project Team Taylor company wide giveback held at all locations of Mugshots Grill & Bar, Glory Bound Gyro Co., and Topher's Rock 'N Roll Grill.
Project Team Taylor was created to raise funds and awareness for Pediatric Cancer Research & Treatment. 6 year old Taylor Rayburn, daughter of Allison and Cliff Rayburn, was diagnosed with a Wilms' Tumor on April 27th, 2015 and received treatment at Children's Hospital in Birmingham, AL. June 11, Taylor’s birthday, will mark the day of our annual giveback to help fight cancer.
“The entire staff at Children’s couldn’t have been more gracious," said Mugshots Tuscaloosa Franchisee, Cliff Rayburn. “The treatment, care, and confidence of the staff at Children’s made Taylor feel as comfortable as possible and our family felt as if we were a part of the Children’s family. This is when we realized that we had to do something as a company to give back to these organizations who are helping the fight against cancer.”
“Giving back, changing lives, and making a difference in communities is what Making Life Grand is all about.” said Founder of Ain’t Life Grand Investments, Chris McDonald. “It’s one thing to give back but when it’s a family member it makes it that much more special. One thing this giveback did for the whole company, that I wasn’t expecting, was show us just how much cancer is part of many people’s lives. We had visits from customers who were coming in to remember loved ones taken by cancer and also customers celebrating those who are cancer survivors.” McDonald also stated.
