Mako Medical Laboratories wins the prestigious Health Care Heroes award from the Triangle Business Journal

Mako Medical Laboratories was selected from hundreds of other healthcare companies to receive the 2015 Triangle Business Journal "Healthcare Heroes Award". This award was presented to Mako for it innovations within healthcare and for its outstanding commitment to the communities it serves. Mako Medical Laboratories hosted several clothing and suit drives for families in need. Mako's team also raised thousands of dollars for the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, United States Military Veterans Foundation, Hope for Haiti, and the Tammy Lynn Center. "It was a company-wide effort", says Chad Price. In addition to the donations--Mako Medical Laboratories partnered with high school and college students to provide free training and internships for those interested in the medical industry. Mako Medical Laboratories mascot--"Mikey the Mako" visited with local hospitals, military families, and children around the country. Mako Medical Laboratories announced last month a partnership with nationally renowned restaurants to match all charitable donations made by customers at each location. The funding from this partnership goes to several nonprofits around the country.
