Marian Burmeff Takes Readers to ABC Town

The book’s main characters are vowels A, E, I, O and U. They are known as Anthony, Ethel, Ignatius, Olive and Umbert. Anthony decides to start his own club and convinces the others to join. Each letter picks a specific word – avocado, eggshell, indigo, opulent and umber – that uses the “short vowel” sound.

No one bullies one letter for being different.”
