Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital Offers College Scholarships to Students with Disabilities in the Chicago Area
Wheaton, IL (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- Each year, Marianjoy awards scholarships to students with disabilities to help them pursue educational programs at accredited two- and four-year colleges and universities or vocational-technical schools in the United States. Applications for this scholarship are now being accepted.
The Marianjoy Scholarship Program is intended for those individuals with a permanent physical disability, which may include brain injury; musculoskeletal impairments, such as amputation or multiple traumas; neuromuscular disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and Guillain-Barré syndrome; spinal cord injury; or stroke. To be eligible, students must be a permanent resident from one of the following Illinois counties: Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, or Will. Last year, 22 students received scholarships through this donor-supported program.
The 2014 Marianjoy Scholarship Program is now accepting applications, and the deadline to apply is March 31, 2014.
