Mark Seitelman Files Breach of Contract Lawsuit Against Brooks Brothers on Behalf of Martin Greenfield Clothiers
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 05, 2016 -- A lawsuit was filed today in the Supreme Court of New York State in Kings County on behalf of a manufacturer of men’s tailored clothing for leading retail stores and its own retail customers, alleging breach of contract and reputational harm.
The lawsuit alleges that Brooks Brothers unilaterally terminated its exclusive manufacturing agreement with Martin Greenfield Clothiers, Ltd., without adhering to the one-year notice of termination stipulated in the agreement. The lawsuit alleges that, as a result, Greenfield sustained significant loss of revenue and other costs, such as inability to notify its union labor force of the changed circumstances and reduce its manufacturing capability, as well as seek other work to meet its expenses.
The lawsuit alleges the exclusive manufacturing agreement between Greenfield and Brooks Brothers was breached on November 1, 2014, when Brooks Brothers ceased ordering from Greenfield and diverted those orders to Brooks Brothers’ own factory.
The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages, along with lost revenue and other damages.
