Marshalltown, IA (PRWEB) March 10, 2016 -- Marshalltown Christian School in Marshalltown, IA, is the latest recipient of an Imagination Playground and Play Associate Training (valued at over $7500), gifted to them through Imagination Playground’s annual “Submit it to Win it” contest. The K-8 school received the playground as a donation from Ashley Lewis and her son Theo, who won the contest in December 2015.
Ashley and Theo filled out a Submit it to Win it contest entry form in September 2015, while attending the Lego Creativity Tour in Des Moines, IA, one of Imagination Playground’s partner events. Upon notification that she had won, Ashley immediately said that she wanted to donate the Big Blue Blocks to Marshalltown Christian School.
“I am thrilled to be able to do this,” exclaimed Ashley. “I first told the Board President, but I couldn’t wait to tell the teachers! I want my son, Theo, to be part of this as he was the reason I was even at the Lego event in the first place,” she continued.
Imagination Playground, in addition to their presence at the Lego Creativity Tour, partners with numerous outside events and organizations, creating opportunities for the public to enter Submit it to Win it throughout the year. Some of these include local PGA Tournament events, Lego KidsFest events, various conferences, and Imagination Playground Learn & Play Tour events hosted at participating children’s museums across the country. In December, a name is randomly drawn to select a winner.
Imagination Playground President Dave Krishock extended his congratulations and enthusiasm to the latest winners.
“We applaud Ashley and Theo for their generosity, and are so excited to bring Imagination Playground’s creative play to the students at Marshalltown Christian School. Today, we celebrate one more momentous step towards our 2016 goal to get 3 million more children playing,” said Krishock.
He continued, “We also encourage the Marshalltown kids to continue the winning, by entering pictures of their creative builds into our Build-A-Thon!”
Submit it to Win it is just one of several Imagination Playground programs that allow for donations of Big Blue Block sets. Imagination Playground also promotes an annual Build-A-Thon, where children 2-10 are encouraged to enter photos of their Blue Block builds, or screen captures of their virtual builds created with Imagination Playground’s 3D Builder mobile app. Full details on Build-A-Thon, including additional build opportunities at Partners in Play locations, and links to download the mobile app on iTunes or Google Play, can be found on Imagination Playground’s Build-A-Thon web page, found at
