Marstel-Day Celebrates Earth Day 2016 with 11 Community Projects and an Interactive Earth Map
Fredericksburg, VA (PRWEB) April 23, 2016 -- For the 11th consecutive year, Marstel-Day, LLC celebrated Earth Day on April 22 by partnering with local organizations to restore habitat, increase public access to natural areas, and support environmental non-profit organizations. The company also created an interactive "earthmap" at http://www.marstel-day.com/earthdaymap/2016 so that people in each community can view locations and information on the environmental benefits and associated impacts of each of these projects, as well as posting about its projects on Instagram, Flickr, Twitter, Facebook and other social media.
"From day one, Marstel-Day has been committed to spending Earth Day working with community partners on environmental projects. Our offices are located in urban environments where our work can have an impact by supporting natural resources as well as enhancing the quality of life for the people who live and work there," noted Marstel-Day President and CEO Rebecca R. Rubin.
Sarah Perry of Downtown Greens said, "We love having the Marstel-Day crews - we've been able to do larger projects like eco-paving an access path, and creating a rain garden for runoff. For a small, grassroots nonprofit like Downtown Greens, the volunteer day makes a huge difference and allows us to accomplish things we wouldn't be able to otherwise!"
