Martinez Insurance Group and the Feeding South Florida Organization Announce Advocacy and Charity Effort to Eliminate Hunger in Florida
Pembroke Pines, FL (PRWEB) September 15, 2016 -- Martinez Insurance Group, a Miami area insurance and financial planning agency that provides services to families and business owners throughout Broward County and the Miami area, is joining regional nonprofit Feeding South Florida for a charity initiative that promises to provide food to hungry Florida families.
The Feeding South Florida organization is dedicated to ending hunger in the southern Florida region. By implementing direct food access programs for hungry citizens and by maintaining a network of partner agencies that include food pantries and soup kitchens, FSF rescues over 40 million pounds of food per year and feeds more than 750,000 food insecure Florida residents.
“Feeding South Florida is the largest and most efficient food bank in the region, providing meals to hundreds of thousands of hungry families, and with the help of our community we are working to feed even more,” says Ernie Martinez, the owner and principal of Martinez Insurance Group.
With the goal of raising donations to provide 3,000 meals to hungry families in Florida, Martinez and his team have built an interactive social media presence and implemented an email update system to share information with supporters of the charity effort. Over the last two years, fourteen different charities operating in the southern Florida region have received direct assistance from the Martinez Insurance team.
