Martinez Insurance Group Announces Charity Drive to Support Angels & Warriors and Families Fighting Childhood Cancer
Pembroke Pines, FL (PRWEB) January 15, 2016 -- Martinez Insurance Group announces a new fundraising initiative as part of an ongoing program of community involvement and enrichment. The current campaign strives to provide funds supporting Angels & Warriors and all the local families battling childhood cancer who they serve. Angels & Warriors was born out of two families’ struggle with childhood cancer, and their desire to help others dealing with this most challenging situation. Three-year-old Sophia – the angel in Angels & Warriors – died from a rare form of leukemia. Seven-year-old Orly – the warrior in Angels & Warriors – battles Burkitt Lymphoma. The overwhelming love and support these mothers received in their time of need inspired them to create a nonprofit organization which would provide hope and assistance to other families engaged in combat with childhood cancer. Their volunteers work closely with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to support other families fighting the disease.
