Mary McGuinness Embarks on Marketing Campaign for Book
Coatbridge, Scotland (PRWEB) January 12, 2017 -- Mary McGuinness’ book “Mary’s Prayer” (published by Balboa Press) chronicles her experiences with depression for 14 years with limited resources and funds. Finding it difficult to discover a book that offered hope and direction for moving forward, McGuinness set out to write her own story to inspire others living with depression.
McGuinness’ book takes place in Scotland, where she lives, but also follows her on her trips to the Marian Shrine at Lourdes, Liverpool in England, Munich and various places in Italy. Faith, John Lennon’s and the Beatles’ music, and the support from friends and family had a major impact upon McGuinness’s healing process.
An excerpt from “Mary’s Prayer”:
This book is written for the invisible people of our society, who suffered in silence, too afraid to bear their soul, in case others derided them for their weakness and lack of character. It is also for those members of the community who are considered a liability to everyone because they are unable to work and contribute to society. Furthermore, it is for people who suffer yet somehow continue to function but that they can find life very difficult, yet never find themselves in the system.
