The Awards, sponsored by Women and Drones and Drone360 Magazine, recognizes Wohnrade’s industry accomplishments and efforts in advancing the role of women working in the UAS marketplace.

“Since purchasing my first drone in 2015, I have been striving to accomplish several goals related to UAS technology and the industry,” Wohnrade says. “I want to remain at the forefront of developing precision aerial topographic mapping, and incorporating that mapping into final civil engineering design. My goal is to prepare the most accurate data possible using the latest advances in UAS technology, and to continuously improve the accuracy of our geospatial mapping products. Being recognized by Women and Drones and Drone360 Magazine as One of the Women to Watch in UAS is a great honor and validates all my efforts in advancing this exciting technology.”

Wohnrade is a certified pilot and an FAA Section 333 Exemption Holder, as well as an FAA Part 107 Certified Operator. Since her introduction to UAS and precision aerial mapping in 2015, Mary Wohnrade and Wohnrade Civil Engineers (WCE) has been at the forefront of developing precision aerial mapping, and then incorporating this mapping into civil engineering design.
