St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 10, 2015 -- Mike Najjar, longtime owner of Master Auto Repair, has announced his retirement after 23 years. The five St. Louis area stores have been sold to their general managers, all of whom have long experience with the company. Najjar and his wife Leslie’s retirement plans include travel and spending more time with family.
Najjar’s career in automotive service began in 1983, when he served as manager of Crestwood Amoco; in 1989, he purchased his own business, Mike’s Bridgeton Shell. In 1992, Najjar purchased another Amoco; by the year 2000, the company had grown to a total of three locations under the name Najjar Car Care. The company’s name was changed to Master Auto Repair in 2008. Today, the company boasts four St. Louis locations and a store in Collinsville.
“I would not have made the deal if I weren’t 100 percent confident that the care of (customers’) vehicles would be in excellent hands,” said Najjar. “Scott Ramsey has 23 years with the company; Shawn Mead, 22 years; Lori Lucas, 13 years; Ed Starns, 10 years and John Jackson, 10 years. They’ve all proven to me over the years that they have (customers’) best interest at heart, and will continue to provide you with the excellent service you deserve.”
The transition has been in the planning stages for over eight years; the Master Auto Repair name will remain, as will the company’s current website, masterautoandtire.com.
All Master Auto Repair locations are staffed by ASE-certified technicians, who have helped the company earn the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence, a distinction that only 15 percent of shops around the country can claim. In 2001, a team of technicians from Master Auto Repair won the Missouri Diagnostic Challenge. In the Challenge, which pitted them against teams from Missouri and southern Illinois, they diagnosed and repaired a vehicle that had been disabled with difficult-to-find problems by experts from the AAA. Master Auto Repair is proud of their “Top Shop” designation by Automotive Service Leaders; their professional affiliations include Car Care Council, Independent Tire Dealers, Alliance of Automotive Service Providers and several others.
Master Auto Repair’s specialties range from routine maintenance such as oil changes, A/C repair and brake service to major repairs such as head gasket and intake manifold replacement. They offer unique value to their customer base, including financing for repair work, shuttle service, loaner cars and computerized reminders for maintenance intervals.
