MasterCard adds Paysera to list of Certified Payment Facilitators
(PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- MasterCard performs periodic checks of payment facilitators to ensure the safety of their cards holders when buying online.
“The main goal of this audit was to make sure that payment facilitator, which provides the payment gateway service, ensures sufficient level of identification of their business clients. Our certification included the audit of the procedures in place in order to safeguard individual customers from buying goods from fraudulent e-shops and losing their money,” says Kostas Noreika, CEO at EVP International, “Many safety aspects are taken into account, i.e. existing procedures, safety check tools, the system login procedures, and client identification. The office security systems are taken into account too.”
After completion of the security check at EVP International by the expert of Client security and security management at MasterCard, it was concluded that EVP International complies with security requirements and uses advanced fraud prevention means. Therefore, Paysera ensures that the MasterCard cardholders are safe and secure when buying online.
Paysera, unlike other popular payment systems, such as Paypal, checks all their clients in advance before implementation of the payment gateway service. It is done to protect the buyers from fraud.
In Europe, more than 150 companies provide solutions, which enable companies and e-shops to receive payments from their clients by using the MasterCard cards. The list of these companies is provided on the MasterCard website.
