Matheson Financial Advisors Hosts 6th Annual 2017 Capital Strategies and M&A Forum for A/E/C Industry Leaders
McLean, VA (PRWEB) June 08, 2017 -- Matheson Financial Advisors hosted its 6th annual Capital Strategies and M&A Forum in Chicago, IL, May 8-10th and brought 110 A/E/C, Environmental Consulting, and Government Contracting firm leaders and specialist advisors together to discuss current issues and trends in mergers and acquisitions, deal structuring, next generation leadership development, ownership transition, valuation, ESOPs, and other capital strategies.
During this two-day, interactive, panel-driven forum, leaders throughout the industry discussed their experiences and insights on how companies can position and lead their firms toward stronger capitalization and improved shareholder value. Panels included industry leaders from Atkins North America, Stantec, HDR, Terracon, TRC Companies, Atwell, NV5, Olsson Associates, Terracon, Dar Al Handasah, Array Healthcare, Kleinschmidt, and many others.
These panels engaged attendees in interactive discussions revolving around topics such as deal anatomy, managing deal terms and documents, ESOPs, ownership transition, private equity, capital markets, and valuation from both a seller and buyer perspective. Keynote speakers included Michael Farr of Farr, Miller, Washington, who spoke about Fed Policies and the Markets; George Nash, CEO of Atkins North America who shared his experience leading three transformational mergers; David Gaboury, Chairman & CEO, Terracon Consultants, who discussed how to successfully grow a company; and Bashar Rihani, Director, DAR USA, who spoke about building an infrastructure business and their model for growth through branded acquisitions. Panels were also led and included specialist advisors from Fox Rothschild, Ames & Gough Insurance, Pilot Hill Advisors, Plante Moran, Kleinbard, Crowe Horwath, and Morningstar Law Group.
