Mathnook to Host National Contest to Award Much Needed Money to a Deserving School
Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 20, 2013 -- Mathnook.com, an online educational gaming site for kids, has launched a customer appreciation contest. Mathnook understands the need for additional funding in schools and wanted to do what they could to give back. The contest will run thru January and will award a deserving school with a $200 Amazon gift card. The contest is being run thru Facebook and is easy to enter. Simply go to Mathnook's Facebook page and fill in the information for your favorite school to enter them to win the money. The winning school (chosen at random) will be notified mid-January.
Founded several years ago by Jan and Tommy Hall, http://www.Mathnook.com started out as a small side project aimed at helping children improve their math skills; however, over time, the site has grown into a full-time enterprise. In fact, the husband and wife team now dedicate their full attention to Mathnook, which has become a popular tool for parents and teachers who are looking for fun ways to get kids interested in math.
"As an educator, Jan initially made games for the classroom and saw how beneficial they were to students," Tommy said. "With my gaming and computer experience, we were able to create Mathnook.com, which became the perfect way for us to do something we both enjoy and know a lot about."
"Math is a fundamental subject that plays a big role in all sorts of different fields of work," Jan said. "Studies have shown that students who do well in math tend to earn more once they graduate. To promote better achievement during school, it's important to get kids interested in math at an early age. With so many different types of fun, educational games, Mathnook.com is a great resource for people who want their children to reach their full potential now and later in life."
