Matrix Sciences Acquires Neumann Risk Services
CHICAGO (PRWEB) November 28, 2017 -- Matrix Sciences is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of Neumann Risk Services, LLC (NRS), led by Melanie Neumann, J.D., M.S.
In executing another important step in Matrix Sciences' growth strategy, Neumann Risk Services, LLC joins Matrix Sciences and adds another key service component in food safety.
In building NRS, Melanie Neumann has combined a consulting business based on deep technical, regulatory and industry understanding in food safety, food science, food defense, recall & crisis management with a legal practice. The addition of NRS to the Matrix Sciences portfolio both widens and deepens our consulting capability. In addition to further growing the NRS consulting business, Melanie will be developing an expanded set of services that are targeted at helping companies reap the benefits of their investments in food safety risk management. Melanie will also be taking of the role of Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Matrix and she will be maintaining a separate but allied legal practice called Neumann Legal Services where legal work will be performed.
Melanie holds a Law Degree from Mitchell Hamline Law School and a Master of Science in Food Science from Michigan State University. She has worked as an attorney both inside major multi-national food companies and within law firms. She has been instrumental in building some of the most recognized consulting businesses in the food industry. Through all of this, she has built an outstanding reputation and is sought after as a speaker and trusted advisor on many aspects of food safety and regulatory compliance as well as risk mitigation and management. Melanie is an adjunct professor at both Michigan State University and Northeastern University, teaching on various food regulatory topics.
