MONTREAL (PRWEB) June 10, 2015 -- Matrox® Graphics today announced that Sherlock Systems has chosen Matrox C-Series™ multi-display graphics cards to drive its new SherPlayer-SSI-Q87N-EXT4K-4 four-output HD and SherPlayer-SSI-Q87N-EXT4K-6 six-output 4K media players. The four-output HD system will be presented at InfoComm (Orlando, June 17–19) in the Matrox booth 4053.
The new SherPlayer-SSI-Q87N-EXT4 media player, based on the Matrox C420 quad-output card, can drive up to four displays in independent, clone, or extended mode. This versatile appliance hosts an Intel I5- 4590S processor, 4GB DDR3 memory and a 500GB hybrid drive. It also allows for multi-stream audio through DisplayPort (6 streams) and features an Intel I7-4790S processor, 8GB DDR3 memory and a 500GB hybrid drive.
“Whether customers want to power a 2x3 4K video wall, a multi-monitor display wall in a public venue or feed up to six individual displays in separate rooms in a business environment, our new media players do it all,” said Joe Fiorita, director of product development, Sherlock Systems. “We depend on Matrox C-Series to provide the advanced multi-monitor capabilities along with the outstanding performance and stability needed in those demanding environments.”
“Customers benefit from Sherlock’s choice of Matrox C-Series to bring flexible display configuration capabilities to their new media players,” said Caroline Injoyan, business development manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. “That flexibility, coupled with Sherlock’s reputation for quality, service and support ensures successful, custom-tuned digital signage system deployments.”
Matrox C-Series cards feature 2 GB of on-board memory and secure mini DisplayPort connectivity. Matrox C420 is the fastest quad card with passive cooling for increased reliability and silent operation. Matrox C680 is a single-slot board that supports up to six 4K/UHD displays for higher performance, higher display density applications. The cards come bundled with Matrox PowerDesk™ for Windows® desktop management software.
Matrox PowerDesk lets users easily configure and manage multi-display setups giving professionals a comprehensive set of tools to control a variety of display configurations including stretched or independent desktops, clone mode, pivot, bezel management, and edge overlap. Matrox advanced desktop management features also let users determine where and how program windows are displayed on the desktop—a productivity tool designed to enhance multi-display experiences.
