Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies Opens in Odessa

It has transformed the location formerly known as JoJos Hamburgers into a Hawaiian paradise in Odessa, Texas. The nostalgic building in the small West Texas town near Midland has been a fixture for more than five decades. Today, it has been given a second life as the newest spot to enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie or Hawaiian coffee.
Complete with a thatched roof and bright colors, the building emanates the Aloha Spirit. Maui Wowi franchise owner Laura Flores purchased the location as an ideal place to begin her business. The new store features a convenient walk up window, drive thru and outside picnic tables with covered seating to shade customers from the hot Texas sun.
“The final touches have been made and Maui Wowi is open for business,” said Flores. “We are excited to bring life back to this iconic building and provide our community with a new place to get great coffee and healthy smoothies.”
Flores became a franchisee of Maui Wowi less than a year ago and since then, has been building up buzz for the new tiki hut themed location. She owns a mobile event unit called a Ka’anapali Cart that she has transported to various community oriented events such as soccer tournaments and concerts. Now with her piece of paradise complete, Flores will be brewing and blending at the shop, which is located at 3506 E. University Blvd. The store will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
