Max Muscle Sports Nutrition's Recently Announced Expansion Plans To Help People Fight The Obesity Battle
(PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- Obesity is on the rise and officially has earned a spot as one of the leading health risks in our country. Joining risks such as "smoking, alcohol consumption, and high blood pressure" (Wallstreet Journal, 2014), obesity has attacked our nation’s health by facilitating the development of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. According to CDC and Prevention from 2009-2010, “more than one-third of adults, or about 78 million people, were obese”. What are we as a country doing to stop this?
PricewaterhouseCoopers found, "As much as $493 billion of health-care spending may be attributable to so-called manageable behaviors, including about $200 billion to deal with obesity and weight control…” The vast majority of these expenditures are for the treatment versus prevention of illnesses. Why? Because the profitability of treating illnesses far exceeds the economic rewards to health care providers for preventing illnesses.
So the real question is — who is giving Americans the tools they need to help fight the obesity battle? Who is educating us on achieving and maintaining healthy lifestyles? Who is focusing on preventing rather than treating these health risks?
One health care franchise is totally focused on preventing/managing obesity in its clients, which in turn helps reduce the incidence and negative impacts of long-term obesity-related illnesses. That franchise is Max Muscle Sports Nutrition (MMSN), a 23 year old franchised retailer of nutritional products and nutritional counseling. Through its 150 privately owned/operated franchised units, MMSN provides a wide variety of products and services designed to help customers lose fat, build muscle, and achieve a higher level of “physical fitness”.
In addition to their products and services, Max Muscle Sports Nutrition works to better the health of the communities they serves through a weight loss challenge called MaxFormation. This challenge focuses on loosing fat and gaining muscle through customized meal plans and suggested supplement regimes. Over the years, contestants have seen incredible results, bringing in new contestants who are motivated by a friend’s success. Last year alone, 700 contestants joined the challenge!
Sean Greene, President of Max Muscle Sports Nutrition, is a strong believer of the MaxFormation life challenge, and sees it as an opportunity to educate Americans on healthy and proper weight management. He believes that “our calling and our challenge is to reach out into our communities one Max Muscle store at a time and educate and help our fellow Americans… who were once lost and on a destructive path, find themselves living a new life.”
Last year’s MaxFormation winner, David Calhoun started the program weighing 330 pounds. After six months of hard work and dedication David lost over 100 pounds and just under 30% body fat! According to David, "I've struggled with obesity my entire life. Doctors told me I was going to die if I didn’t fix this problem. Max Muscle Sports Nutrition’s Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach™ put me on a meal plan and taught me the importance of proper nutrition and the role that it played in healthy and effective weight management. This was the part that had always been missing my entire life and once I had the correct foundation I began to really see results”.
As a franchise, Max Muscle Sports Nutrition sees it as their mission to help those living in the communities they serve. Each franchise owner works directly with their clients in hopes to help them achieve the higher level of health they are looking for. MMSN’s President, Mr. Patrick Sanders, launched an expansion program to build the company 10-fold over the next 5 years. Sanders states, “Our expansion is targeted to high net worth individuals and corporations who can qualify to own multiple stores and dominate a given market. We are focusing on large potential franchise holders, much like the fast-food industry has done for years."
