McKissock Grows Professional Development Library with Addition of Engineering Correspondence Curriculum
Warren, PA (PRWEB) July 12, 2013 -- Beginning in July, McKissock will be releasing their 15- and 24-hour correspondence books to engineers in Texas and Pennsylvania. Although a long time provider of online education for engineering, this marks the first time McKissock has made the foray into an engineering correspondence curriculum.
With topics of study ranging from amusement park safety and professional ethics to the design of buildings meant to mitigate terrorist attacks, these correspondence books will supplement McKissock’s online course offerings for engineering. Both the online and correspondence courses qualify for the Professional Development Hours required for engineers in Texas and Pennsylvania.
“Providing courses in this format not only makes it simpler for professional engineers to earn their mandatory continuing education credits, but it also provides them with a valuable resource they can keep in their office,” VP of Business Development for McKissock Melissa Wilson said. “We’re starting the initial distribution in Texas and Pennsylvania, and we hope to have other engineering courses rolling out nationwide by year’s end.”
Following the July release in Texas and Pennsylvania, correspondence courses are scheduled for distribution in Illinois and Maryland next month.
Though content for the current engineering correspondence book was developed for structural and civil engineers, McKissock plans to expand the curriculum to other engineering disciplines, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, petroleum, aerospace, and chemical engineering.
