McMahon Marketing Participates in U.S. Department of State’s Professional Exchanges Program
Norman, OK (PRWEB) November 27, 2014 -- Last month a representative from the Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth (CCEW) on the University of Oklahoma’s Norman campus approached McMahon Marketing to participate in a professional exchange program for small business owners and operators. The program is targeted at young entrepreneurs, small business owners and stakeholders in the small business ecosystem in Bangladesh and Nepal.
Participants chosen from Bangladesh and Nepal shadow small, local businesses in the Norman area and Oklahoma City metro for three weeks during an inbound exchange where goals include: exposing inbound participants to the small business environment, culture, and social life in the U.S., and establishing and fostering long-term relationships with Bangladeshi and Nepali counterparts.
Biplob Rahul from Dhaka in Bangladesh has been the participant paired with McMahon Marketing. “I have really enjoyed my time with McMahon Marketing. It has been so interesting to see how American businesses operate,” Rahul explains. During this time he has seen the day-to-day tasks of the business, met with clients and been introduced to new operating systems. “The overall tasks are similar,” Rahul continues, “but the culture behind the actions and communication here is very different and very interesting to see.”
Korey McMahon, the principal of McMahon Marketing is now preparing for his reciprocal visit to Bangladesh and Nepal for his portion of the outbound exchange program, which will take place for two weeks in November through December. “I am absolutely floored and speechless,” Korey McMahon says of his upcoming trip. “Never in my lifetime did I think that I would go to Bangladesh and Nepal on an exchange program…I am extremely thankful and beyond eager to learn new tactics that I can bring to my team,” McMahon stated.
