Convergence India is South Asia’s largest ICT Expo in telecommunications, media and entertainment. Ethernet Over Coax Head End (HE):
The Ethernet over Coax headend provides an IP network leveraging existing coaxial cable infrastructure to reduce greatly deployment cost and installation time. The Ethernet over Coax headend, as the name suggests, acts as a bridge between Ethernet and coaxial cable RF channel networks and is located at the headend side of the coaxial cable plant.
Ethernet over Coax CPE (CPE):
The Ethernet over Coax Customer Premise Equipment provides end user access to the EoC network backbone delivered by Ethernet over Coax headends (EoC HEs) by bridging end user side Ethernet networks and EoC networks on the coax.
EoC CPEs are available in two flavors:
• 4-port Ethernet CPE
• 2-port Ethernet CPE
MDS Global has partnered with the engineering experts at VVDN Technologies, a Gurgaon-based design and manufacturing company, in its EoC solutions. Under the agreement, VVDN will manufacture MDS Global’s patented EoC Headends (HE) and EoC Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
