MEA’s Field Leader Training Is Now Open for Registration
Bloomington, MN (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- MEA’s Utility Leadership Academy (ULA) is offering two opportunities for participating in the very popular in person Field Leader Training program in 2016.
The job of a utility industry Team Leader is very different from that of the crew worker. Team Leaders are responsible for the work of others, not just themselves. Many non-technical leadership skills are needed for this important role.
Line team leaders will gain practical, hands-on experience in how to effectively lead their crews with this energy industry focused, two-day course that is perfect for Foremen, Crew Leaders, Leads, Craft and Shift Supervisors.
Technical aspects of the work will not be covered. Attendees will gain the leadership skills needed to effectively direct the activities of their crew and communicate with management. The situations and cases will be similar to those they encounter on the job all the time. The skills and knowledge they will gain will relate specifically to effective leadership.
Whether a new crew-leader or a seasoned one, the activities and topics covered during the training have been found of value by the majority of those who have attended.

Planning Work
