Measured Progress COMMON CORE(TM) Assessment Program Now Available on ExamView(R)
Dover, New Hampshire (PRWEB) August 13, 2013 -- Measured Progress COMMON CORE Assessment Program resources may now be delivered via the ExamView Assessment Suite. ExamView enables educators to easily create, administer, and manage formative and summative assessments. Features include a Test Generator for creation of assessments and a Test Manager to manage online and paper tests and results and generate reports.
Measured Progress bundled its COMMON CORE Assessment Program to offer teachers, schools, and districts the flexibility they need to assess student understanding of the Common Core State Standards. Measured Progress based all items on the Common Core and built them to the item specifications established by both the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium and the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers. Because the items are newly developed to the new standards, rather than back-aligned existing items, students gain exposure to the Common Core that many item banks neither provide nor measure.
The combination of the COMMON CORE Item Bank and Testlets and ExamView enables educators to:
• Build tests by drilling down to the desired content area, grade, standard and/or item type in the Item Bank
• Manage test assignments, administer tests online, or create and print assessments
• Use Testlets, which are available as pre-built, printable test forms (PDF) and are also configured in ExamView to be taken online
Once tests are created and scheduled, they can be printed, scanned, and then scored. In the case of online delivery, multiple-choice items will be scored automatically. In addition, educators can combine Item Bank content with items from other test banks, to create custom assessments. The COMMON CORE Item Bank includes 4,000 English language arts and mathematics items in grades three through eight and high school. Both the Item Bank and Testlets are written to different levels of Depth of Knowledge, which enables teachers to measure student knowledge using items of varying levels of complexity.
