MED|Ed Facilities Phoenix and Conference Director Announced
Centerville, MA (PRWEB) June 17, 2015 -- MED|Ed Facilities Phoenix, The healthcare and educational facilities design and construction event for the Southwest will be March 1+2, 2016 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, Phoenix, Arizona. This is second in a series of MED|Ed Facilities events.
The conference program arranged by Conference Director Eduardo (Ed) Galindo, CSI, CDT, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, will focus on the latest trends, approaches, systems, products and forward thinking in the planning, design, construction and facility management of Healthcare and Education Facilities in the highly competitive Southwest market. The MED|Ed Facilities Phoenix Conference will feature national caliber speakers, presentations, tours and a product and systems Expo geared towards these two market sectors. Conference attendees may earn American Institute of Architects (AIA)/Continuing Education System (CES) Learning Units by attending the pre-approved MED|Ed Facilities sessions, or may self-report for continuing education credits with other professional associations.
In addition to design professionals, the Conference will provide value to Owner Representatives, Facility and Operations Managers, Contractors, Manufacturers and their representatives and others interested in these market sectors.
About Eduardo (Ed) Galindo, CSI, CDT, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Ed is a registered architect, CSI-Certified Construction Documents Technologist, and a LEED-Accredited Professional, with a specialty in Building Design and Construction, of Education and Healthcare green buildings. Mr. Galindo, who is registered in 23 states, has had his designs built in AZ, CA, CO, FL, MI, NM, NY, OH, PA, TX, VA, and WV and has consulted on planning and architectural design in Israel, Japan, Jordan, Pakistan, Singapore, and South Korea. He has led the Architectural programming, planning, design and implementation of significant healthcare and educational facilities in California, New York, and Pennsylvania including complicated renovations, additions and ‘greenfield’ hospitals, outpatient facilities and medical office buildings, as well as university buildings and K-12 schools. Mr. Galindo provided senior oversight and technical review of new and replacement schools and medical facilities including a university building and two hospitals abroad, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). He is currently assisting with the development of measures to improve the programming and implementation of Health Infrastructure projects in developing regions funded by USAID.
