Media Advisory: CRDF Global Convenes Experts to Discuss U.S. Role in Strengthening Global Health Security Agenda October 7 on Capitol Hill
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) October 05, 2015 -- What: Panel discussion: Perspectives in Global Health Security – Effective Prevention, Detection and Response to Global Pandemics. CRDF Global will convene front-line experts from government, business, academia and non-profits to discuss the role of the U.S. in strengthening global health security.
When: Wednesday, October 7 with networking at 12:00, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A 12:30-2:30 pm. A light lunch will be provided.
Who: Organized by CRDF Global, each expert will discuss what the Global Health Security Agenda means from their respective standpoint. Speakers are: Dr. Laud Boateng, District Director of Health Services, Ghana Health Service, and 2014 Mandela Washington Fellow; Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins, Coordinator for Threat Reduction Programs, U.S. Department of State; Ms. Kaitlin Sandhaus, CEO & Executive Director, Global Implementation Solutions; and Hon. Andrew C. Weber, Former Deputy Coordinator for Ebola Response, U.S. Department of State. CRDF Global President and CEO Cathy Campbell will moderate.

Why: To promote dialogue on this critical topic, with perspectives ranging from a U.S. State Department Ebola coordinator to an African doctor.
