Medicinal Marijuana Association Announces Brand New Website Redesign
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) December 19, 2014 -- On Wednesday, Nov. 19, the Medicinal Marijuana Association unveiled its newly-redesigned website to better inform and serve current and future customers at medicinalmarijuanaassociation.com.
Dr. David Imrie, Chief Medical Advisor, says the decision to redesign Medicinal Marijuana Association's website was made with customers in mind, and a number of changes to make the site more user-friendly have been made as a result.
Dr. Imrie says he also believes many medical marijuana-related sites on the web simply want to sell people something -- while Medicinal Marijuana Association strives to help people gain better access to information about marijuana's medical properties.
"We came to find that there wasn't a source of information that represents the consumer without trying to sell them something -- whether that be marijuana itself or different accessories," Dr. Imrie says. "This new website is designed for people who think that medicinal marijuana may help them, or who are current users and need more information or help. We have found that a lot of people are currently just self-medicating because it’s either not legal where they live or their doctor won’t prescribe it. Others just don’t know which strain might work best for them. Our website's primary function is not to sell a product. It’s to learn what their issue is, help them with the doctor barrier, and find a solution to get better."
Medicinal Marijuana Association's new website offers several features intended to make it easier for consumers to educate themselves on medical marijuana.
These features include a series of questionnaires to help people decide whether or not they should seek a prescription for medical marijuana from their doctor; a service that provides customers with the needed documentation to bring to their doctors; a tool that helps people understand which strains of medical marijuana treat which ailments; and a tool for patients to record their mood and health each week to help their doctors adjust their prescriptions and strains.
All of these features were created with the customer in mind, according to Dr. Imrie.
“A physician's duty is to help and assist patients with their quality of life, and medicinal marijuana is one tool that can help do this," Dr. Imrie says. "This website is dedicated to patients to assist them in removing the common barriers that prevent those who need it from obtaining marijuana medicine.”
