“Since 2007, the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year award has served as the benchmark for recognizing the best of an amazing community of over a million of our country’s finest,” said Mrs. Suzie Schwartz, VP of Military Spouse Programs
"The 2014 branch finalists and all 180 individual base winners, are an amazing group of people, and we are thrilled to recognize them for their valiant efforts," said Babette Maxwell, Executive Editor of Military Spouse. "They are a true representation of our nation's over one million military spouses, the people who not only support their service members, but who are actively supporting and working to better the military community and America as a whole.

On behalf of Armed Forces Insurance, we salute each of you!” said Garry L. Parks, Lieutenant General, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret), Chairman of Armed Forces Insurance.
