Meet the Artists and Shop for Handcrafted Holiday Gifts, Featuring Metalsmith Jenne Rayburn, at The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society Holiday Market thru December 24th
Lexington, MA (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society annual exhibition and sale of one-of-a-kind, artist-made arts and crafts will return this Holiday Season from December 4th through December 24th. Now in its 77th year, LACS has become the ultimate local pop-up shop for contemporary studio and art jewelry, handcrafted ceramics, woven textiles and needle arts, offering the public the rare opportunity to meet innovative local craft artists working in Massachusetts and directly acquire pieces from them. Over 50 craft artists from nine guilds are represented in this year's exhibition and sale. LACS Holiday Market 2013 will also showcase the work of metalsmith Jenne Rayburn, a member artist of the Metalworkers Guild who will be presenting her handcrafted jewelry collection.
Jenne Rayburn is a member artist of the Metalworkers Guild at The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society. Membership in the Guild is by a jury process, and is for the lifetime of the juried member. The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society’s unique community, facility and resources enable local artists to practice their craft, learn new skills and sell their creations at the Society’s art gallery, which offers for sale original art and handmade crafts by local member artisans. "As a local start-up jewelry artist on a very tight budget, I am extremely impressed by the sophisticated, volunteer organized Craft Shows put on by The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society," said Rayburn. "I love being an artist in the Gallery where I can beautifully showcase my handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry."
This time of year customers are looking for the perfect holiday gift. At The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society Holiday Market, holiday shoppers can find something for everyone. Rayburn is an advocate for handcrafted statement jewelry that can be dressed up or down. "Handmade accessories and jewelry are a great way to update a wardrobe or buy something new that is not expensive, relatively speaking, making them great gifts," notes Rayburn. "Handcrafted jewelry bought at a local craft show is a true value, and customers always feel good about their purchases because they get high quality with a unique design."
The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society is located at 130 Waltham Street in downtown Lexington, Massachusetts. The Holiday Market runs from December 4th through December 24th. Holiday Market hours are Monday through Saturday 10AM - 6PM and Sundays 12PM - 6PM.
