Mega Adoption Event in Philadelphia
West Chester, PA (PRWEB) November 29, 2016 -- The Brandywine Valley SPCA is hosting one of the biggest adoption events in the tristate area, taking place in Philadelphia on December 2nd through the 4th from 10 am to 6 pm at the First Troop Calvary Armory, 22 South 23rd Street, Philadelphia. Admission to the event is free!
The MEGA Adoption event will have over 1,000 spay/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped animals – dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens – ready for their forever home!
The adoption fee is only $20, thanks in part to sponsorship partners at the Petco Foundation®. This spectacular event will bring various shelters, rescues, and volunteers together to adopt out hundreds of animals in a single weekend. Adopters are encouraged to get there early each day for the best selection. New animals will be added each day.
“We’re expecting to have more than 1,000 pets up for adoption and huge crowds,” said Adam Lamb, Chief Executive Officer for BVSPCA, “Our goal is to have 800 animals in their new homes by the end of the weekend”.
Shelters that will be participating are BVSPCA (West Chester & New Castle locations), Last Chance Ranch, Camden County Animal Shelter, Morris Animal Refuge and more.
This special event is for the whole family! Food, beverage and pet product vendors will also be present, so don’t forget to do some holiday shopping for your four-legged family member.
ABOUT BRANDYWINE VALLEY SPCA:
Founded in 1929, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is the first open admission shelter in Pennsylvania to achieve No Kill status and serves as the only open admission shelter in both Chester and Delaware Counties. In 2015, the BVSPCA opened its first Animal Health Center in Malvern, Pennsylvania, making veterinary care more accessible to local residents. In 2016, the BVSPCA took on a 3-year contract with the Delaware Office of Animal Welfare to provide state-wide animal services, and expanded its reach further into the tri-state area by opening both a second shelter and a second Animal Health Center in New Castle County, Delaware.
