Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers is Now Open in Sanford, Florida
Sanford, Fla (PRWEB) May 29, 2015 -- Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers is now open in Sanford, Fla., at 1831 Rinehart Road. This Mellow serves up handcrafted, gourmet pizzas and craft beers in a rock ‘n’ roll Americana setting.
Mellow Mushroom’s menu showcases natural flavors and the freshest of ingredients in a creative menu, featuring an assortment of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. A gluten free crust and a kids menu are also available.
Owners Ron and Jill Brown felt a connection with Sanford and wanted to bring Mellow to this exciting and popular area. “Living in the Sanford/Lake Mary area, we saw there was nothing like Mellow Mushroom and knew it would be a great fit,” state the Browns.
Inside, custom art showcases the eclectic goal of the owners: to create a casual ambiance with a dressy meets urban grit attitude. Various items pull from the owners’ favorite artists, lyrics and quotes. A significant amount of art references the classic days of rock ‘n’ roll, from a graffiti style Jimi Hendrix painting to an homage to Miss American Pie at the To Go station. Tributes to music icons are on display, including John Lennon and his classic Statue of Liberty pose and a Jerry Garcia denim tapestry in a 3-D LED lit frame.
There is a huge rock ‘n’ roll chandelier over the feature table with multi-colored LED lights coming out of different musical instruments like guitars, saxophones, drums and tambourines. Lady Liberty, depicted as though she is a flower child with bare feet, is the iconic symbol of the store, which guests can take home as a one store only destination T-shirt from the House of Shroom collection of apparel.
Mellow Mushroom's mission is to provide delicious food in a fun and creative environment. The layout of this store is ideal for entertainment. There is an incredible indoor/outdoor bar with 32 draft beers on tap and a great selection of wine and spirits. The bar windows can open to the patio so outdoor guests are truly sitting at the main bar inside. The patio lounge area is filled with comfortable, casual seating for first come service and generates a first impression of a relaxed party atmosphere exhibited throughout the store.
The full service bar features a wide array of craft beers, an extensive wine list and fresh handcrafted cocktails. Graffiti meets exposed brick loft with a stage set up for live bands and Mellow’s first ever video wall, totaling nine large screens designed to provide one large concert explosion or up to nine independent programs.
Events and activities abound. The Mellow character Dude Shroomington, who rides a chopper, greets you as you drive onto the lot and is sure to be a hit during Bike Week, when the area boasts one of the largest biker meetups in the nation. There is a stage for live bands and backstage seating as well.
