Owners Jay and Diana Beskind are thrilled to bring Mellow Mushroom to the Ahwatukee area: “As soon as we opened the Mellow Mushroom in Happy Valley and continued to expand our presence in the Phoenix area, Ahwatukee was next up on our radar. The menu features a variety of handcrafted pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers, dishes that use only the highest quality ingredients. Options for vegetarians, vegans and kids are available, as are gluten free choices.
Each Mellow is designed in an artistic and unique fashion, and a former brewery now rises from the ashes as the Mellow Mushroom. Exterior enhancements create an art deco inspired theater complete with movie marquee signs at the main entry.
A retro ticket booth hostess stand and popcorn retail display set the mood for this two story dining room inspired by the golden age backlot of a movie studio.
Movie theater projectors display a kaleidoscope effect throughout the main dining area. Classic characters from the 1930s are displayed throughout the Mellow. In addition, the restrooms are disguised as a fully detailed gas station. The restaurant also houses a two story private screening and conference room area along with a classic mezzanine overlook, which seats up to 90 people and offers an exclusive bar from the hidden speakeasy room.
Along with great food and an artistic atmosphere, this Mellow offers fun for the entire family. Enjoy one of the one hundred micro brewed beers from the full service bar or check out the board room, equipped with conference table seating for up to 12 people for private presentations. Monday-Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. join us for lunch specials.
Why limit happy to an hour? Grab some friends and join us for Happy Hour Monday- Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for half off appetizers and beverages from the bar, or reverse Happy Hour, from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. daily.
