Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers Opening in Uptown, Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, December 16
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) December 13, 2013 -- Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers is proud to announce their newest opening in Uptown, Charlotte, on Monday, December 16th, at 255 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, in The Catalyst Building located adjacent to Romare Bearden Park.
Marc and Le Anne Kieffer, Steve Small and Franny Goshtasbpour, John and Arshia Fiske, Nabil and Christina Butros and Jeff and Sara Small, are thrilled to partner together to open their third Mellow Mushroom in Charlotte.
“With all of the growth in the Third Ward of Charlotte’s Uptown, we felt this was a perfect spot for our new location,” states Marc Kieffer. “We see this as an area that is quickly becoming the center of living, working and playing uptown, and we are excited to be a part of it.”
The menu features a variety of handcrafted pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers, dishes that use only the highest quality ingredients. Options for vegetarians, vegans and kids are available, along with gluten free options.
In keeping with the Mellow Mushroom tradition of uniqueness and creativity, this Mellow provides a mid-century futuristic theme throughout the interior Standing 6 feet tall are two rocket ships at the entrance, which display Mellow gear and create a futuristic theme from the moment guests step foot through the front doors. Also setting the tone are Eames designed chairs, Sputnik lights and a large mural of a futuristic cocktail party depicting the hostess returning from her rocket ship with a Mellow Mushroom pizza for her guests.
To complement the dining experience, there is a full service bar with a great variety of craft beers, wine and cocktail options. Mellow will feature trivia on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm following the opening, and a convenient takeout counter for those wanting Mellow to go. The restaurant also features a large community table for solo diners where they can watch pizza makers throw dough.
