Members of the iLoveKickboxing.com Medford, MA Fitness Franchise Bring Thanksgiving Meal to Victims of Domestic Violence
Medford, MA (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- On November 26th members who take kickboxing classes at the iLoveKickboxing.com Medford location in Boston held a Thanksgiving luncheon for the residents at the Transition House, a home which gives shelter to victims of domestic violence. The members volunteered with Community Cooks, a non for profit organization, to bring the Thanksgiving meal to 30 women and children who call Transition House home.
Community Cooks is a network of volunteers who bring home cooked meals to the needy in the Boston area. They also partner with underfunded organizations to help feed those they serve. The luncheon was a hit as the members put together a full meal for the residents of Transition House which included turkey and dessert.
“The food was amazing, thank you so much, our luncheon was a success because of all of you,” said Jenny at Transition House, “We are very thankful to have Community Cooks supporting us!’’
